Is anyone raising the conflict of interest in Darren Lockyer still being a member of the Brisbane Broncos board whilst being a part owner of another rugby league club in the London Broncos?
I’m not sure he does much as a BB director anyway, other than have the title… lol. indeed I’m sure I heard at one point a few years ago one of his roles as director was in “recruitment and retention” and this was reported around the time that Sam Walker was signed to the Roosters and Darren was quoted in the media has saying he’d never seen Sam play despite the Roosters nabbing him from the Broncos nursery.
I personally hadn't really given it any consideration. Unless the Broncos play the Broncos in the WCC, I don't think it matters. Most of the "arms-length" stuff Lockyer had at Brisbane seems to have gone by the wayside, which was the real conflict.
